Volunteering

Swim meets are run entirely by volunteers, so they wouldn't happen without you! It takes 30-40 people to fill all the shifts of a given meet - more are needed for a home meet than an away meet. We will need all families to help out during the season and there are plenty of options depending on your preferences. Any family member, including a teen working for SSL hours, can represent your family in volunteering. Points are assigned to each job and we ask that families do approximately 20 points worth of volunteer jobs during the season.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

SSL Volunteering

Some volunteering positions will be available for teens who want to volunteer for SSL hours. In order to receive SSL hours, the teen needs to sign in and out with a team rep; SSL form will be given at time of service.

  • Please email swim reps to request that your teen take an SSL job
  • Signup for the job (the system will only allow parents to sign up)
  • If a teen signs up but does not show, the parent will be the backup
  • Only some positions will be offered for SSL hours and can be filled by siblings of swimmer/divers or athletes who are not competing in that meet or portion of the meet.
  • Volunteer will need to sign in and sign out of shift with a swim rep to get SSL form signed
  • These will count towards the family volunteering points.
